Think you don’t have a say in animal welfare issues in the City of Dallas? You can, and here’s how: Sunday, April 10th, Metroplex Animal Coalition will play host to Dallas’ four mayoral candidates as they participate in a forum on animal issues in the City of Dallas. The forum will take place at 2 p.m. at the Central (downtown) Dallas Library. Local journalist Larry Powell (www.ReadLarryPowell.com, Urban Animal magazine) will moderate the forum. Admission is free.
Dallas’ four mayoral candidates are former Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle, Councilman Ron Natinsky, real estate consultant Edward Okpa, and Mike Rawlings, former Pizza Hut CEO and Dallas Homeless Czar. If you love animals and you live in Dallas, this is a do-not-miss event. With four candidates in the running, some with overlapping platforms, you need to know which ones support animal welfare and which will make Dallas Animal Services a priority. Your vote for an animal-welfare friendly Mayor can make a world of difference for the animals.
The election takes place Saturday, May 14, and early voting begins May 2nd. Make plans now to attend the April 10th forum.
