ART To The Rescue benefit Saturday night at historic Texas Theatre

ARTIt’s time once again for Art To The Rescue!  Saturday, October 15th at the historic Texas Theatre, Animal Rescue of Texas will host their popular annual fundraiser, including a rambunctious live art auction, nerve-racking silent art auction, mouth-watering cocktails, delicious food from The Green House food truck, and a complimentary valet.

Animal Rescue of Texas is an all-foster rescue group based in Dallas.  All of the dogs in ART’s care live in foster homes, ensuring they are all housetrained, crate trained and well socialized before they are adopted.  To date, ART has saved hundreds of dogs from life on the streets or area shelters, often taking in the toughest cases that require extensive medical treatment and extensive TLC from their dedicated volunteers.

“The money we raise through ART to the Rescue allows us to care for dogs in who urgently need our help,” says ART President, Maggie Dahl. “Whether it’s a stray kitten found on the street or a dog who is taken out of the shelter before it is put to sleep, ART strives to care for these animals and find them loving forever homes.”

The historic Texas Theatre, where Dallas police officers arrested Lee Harvey Oswald on November 22, 1963, is located at 231 West Jefferson Boulevard in Oak Cliff.  Tickets are $65 at the door.  We’re going and we hope to see you there!
