Collin County Humane Society’s “Give A Dog A Home” Gala Friday at City Place

October 19, 2011

cchs_IsabelCollin County Humane Society’s annual “Give A Dog A Home” Gala takes place Friday night from 7 p.m. to midnight at the 42nd Floor, Cityplace Conference Center, 2711 North Haskell in Dallas.  A cocktail hour with live music by Derek Teague, served appetizers, drinks and a silent auction kicks off the event, followed by a 3-course meal with wine service. Guest speaker Gus Hinojosa of Hinojosa Architecture & Interiors will discuss progress on the new Adoption Facility, slated to open in 2015.  He will be followed by American Dog Rescue’s Arthur Benjamin, and a presentation to Scotlund Haisley and Animal Rescue Corps for their work saving animals in disasters.  A live auction, featuring a one week stay at a stunning mountainside condo in Park Cities, Utah, and entertainment by the Ad Libs Comedy Improv Troup will finish off the evening.

Tickets are $100 and may be purchased online in advance only.  All proceeds will go toward a capital campaign to raise money to build an adoption center for CCHS.  The center will serve as a transitional housing station for dogs in the CCHS program that are ready for adoption.  CCHS will remain a primarily foster based adoption program, with available dogs rotating from foster homes to the adoption facility and back.  The facility will also include an area for cats.

Collin County Humane Society is a non-profit 501c3 organization established in March of 2008.  The foster-home based group is dedicated to helping dogs who are unwanted, abandoned or lost.   For more information, visit Collin County Humane Society’s website.

    (1) We atteded the CCHS Gala last year. How much of the $100 tickets do you estimate to be tax deductible?

    (2) Is there going to be a Gala this year?
    Regards,
