Horse slaughter is about to become legal in the US again!  We need to flood our US Senators and US House reps with phone calls TODAY and TOMORROW!  The horse slaughter situation is looking really bleak, and this is the last chance effort to prevent horse slaughter from starting up again in the US.  If you want to help, it’s easy—look up your US senators and your US house rep at the link below (if you’re in Texas, I’ve supplied numbers below), call their office, give them your name and zip code, tell them you are a constituent and read this quote or some variation of it:  “Please co-sponsor or at least support the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S.1176/H.R. 2966).”    You can even call late at night if you’d rather leave a voicemail.

Please share this information. The more people calling, the better our chances of saving America’s horses.  It’s a 2 minute investment of time that can make a difference.  Thanks

If you’re in Texas, your senators are John Cornyn:  202-224-2934 and Kay Bailey Hutchison:  202-224-5922.  Call them both.

If you’re in the DFW area, your US rep is Kenny Marchant—office # 202-225-6605

America’s horses deserve better.

Help pass the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S.1176/H.R. 2966)!

This law will:

Prohibit horse slaughter from returning to the U.S.
End the export of American horses for slaughter.

What You Can Do:

1. Contact your legislators and be the voice for the horses.

Click here to find your U.S. Representative and U.S. Senators.
Please call and politely ask them to co-sponsor the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S.1176/H.R. 2966).

2. Donate.
Your generous donation will go directly to our efforts to permanently end horse slaughter and other forms of animal cruelty.

THLN was instrumental in closing down the last two horse slaughter plants in Texas,

plants that had been operating illegally for years.
